Competition rules

Every Punching Pro League competition runs over a defined period and ranks players using one of two scoring principles. Only valid punches from genuine sessions on registered machines count.

Best Punch

Your position is decided by your highest single valid punch recorded inside the competition period. Earlier or later punches do not add together — only your strongest punch in the period counts, and each player appears once in the standings.

Total Power

Your position is decided by the sum of all your valid punches recorded inside the competition period. Consistency matters: every scored session adds to your total.

Tie break

If two players finish with the same qualifying Best Punch score, the player who achieved that score first ranks higher.

Valid punches

  • the punch must be recorded during your own active 60-second session
  • the first score a machine reports during your session is the score attached to you
  • a machine can only hold one active session at a time
  • scores we reasonably believe did not come from genuine play may be invalidated and removed from standings

Categories

The overall leaderboard and overall competitions are open to all players. Some competitions are restricted to a self-selected competition category (for example Women's competitions). Category selection is always chosen by the player and is never guessed by us. Changing your category affects future entries; results already recorded stay as they were achieved.

Competition periods

Weekly competitions run Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59:59 UK time. Monthly competitions run for the calendar month in UK time. When a period closes the standings are frozen so the result is a permanent record.

Competition-specific rules

Individual competitions may add their own rules, eligibility conditions, entry requirements or prizes. Those rules are published with the competition and apply in addition to this page and to our terms & conditions.
